Please! Someone make these!
Here at GiddyUp, we’re ALWAYS on the hunt for cool, useful new products from innovators around the globe.
We see dozens of interesting product ideas on a daily basis… and although we prefer products that actually exist, we sometimes stumble across cool ideas that haven’t been brought to life quite yet… but are just too awesome to keep to ourselves.
Below you’ll find 8 of our favorite FAKE inventions. While these products don’t exist yet, they may someday – and that means you heard about them here first!!
1. A toothbrush that rinses your mouth with a built-in fountain – no more strained neck!
Once this is invented, they need to create one that dispenses mouthwash. (No, we don’t know how that would work either. That’s why this is a list of DREAM products, remember?)
2. A “Seed Spoon” that combines three products (seed package, lightweight wooden shovel, and gardening label) into one.
Anything that makes gardening easier is a win in our book!
3. A magic pen that can change its ink into any color it scans.
What happens if you point it at a chameleon?
4. A pan with a separate spot for baking a taste-tester.
But what do you do if the taste-tester doesn’t taste quite right? (Answer: Eat the whole thing and start again.)
5. A chopstick spoon (“Chopoon”? “Spopstick”?) for those who can’t decide – or simply want to enjoy every last sip.
You can do chopstick-style when people are looking, then cheat with the spoon when they aren’t 😉
6. A nut bowl with built-in shell container.
The only question is: do you keep the nuts in the top section and the shells in the lower section or vice-versa?
7. A trash can with a special wedge for tying the bag – without any nasty surprises.
Come to think of it, we could probably carve this into our own trash cans… #DIY!
8. A cake cutter AND serving tool that puts an end to “His slice is bigger than mine!”
Which one of these would you most like to see in your home? Or better yet, what dream product do YOU wish existed? Let us know in the comments below!

Gail says
No. 8 exist..I think it’s from bonapetitte
Susan says

James Worley says
I Love this site
Michael Rowe says
Brilliant site, love it especially the futuristic contact lenses,🤯
Judy Ainsworth says
those Contact Lenses exist now. I”m not sure if they are on the :shelf, Yet.
Katherine Hinshaw says
Contact lenses should NEVER be bought “off the shelf” because the fitting of the lenses is crucial to successful wear, both to provide good comfort and great vision. I will be very surprised if contacts are ever a wise online purchase. =D
Katherine Hinshaw says
What contact lenses? There weren’t any in my list of 8. ???
Deborah L Walker says
Toothbrush “spout” my husband would LOVE!! The nut bowl for sure would get used all the time (shells on top!) They are all great ideas!!
Mary says
I like this idea. I wish you would suggest companies that help with our invention concepts.
Kimberley Hosmer says
Toothbrush could come with pre-filled &/or refillable cartridges of mouthwash. Great for traveling! Nice to be able to add a bit of mouthwash while brushing, or pre and post brushing rinse with it.
Virginia says
I thought the suggested products would all be eye rollers, but I like them all! The magic pen is my must-innovate!!!!
John Saunders says
I am looking for an electric scrubbing brush for pitted stone floors. I did have one simple rotary brush on the end of an adjustable handle but it was not robust enough and jammed after small use. I am in my 80s and find it difficult to bend down to scrub the floor.
Kimberley Hosmer says
Stone floors can be refinished/ ground down and polished to remove pitting. Then mopping would do the trick. Or perhaps get one of those vacuum and washing floor cleaners. Around $200-250???
Katherine Hinshaw says
That’s a great idea! Only I would like them in a set containing one large brush, for your floors, for example; one medium sized one for things like countertops or flowerpots; and one small one to use on individual dishes or small corners.
tktoroian says
How about something like robo-vac to clean your bathtub and maybe the bathroom floor.
P. Kng says
How about a pair of heavy scissors, easy to use, heavy duty to cut through all that heavy plastic wrapping they put on the Costco and Same Club products. And easy to squeeze for seniors.
Robert Leete says
Some really excellent ideas here. Wish I had the facilities to produce some of them !!
William C Sinclair says
A something for everything…. wonderful.
Sue Gero says
I’ll take 1, 2, 5, and 6 please. All these ideas are great but age and habits preclude my interest/use. Love this email … look forward to it.
K Spear says
The cake slicer was manufactured by Tupperware but it can now be found on Etsy and Ebay used. They sadly don’t make them any more.
Betty says
My favorites are: 1,3,4
Kathy Hinshaw says
The cake pan with a separate area for a taste looks good, but I think the small piece of cake would be burnt if baked in the same oven as the larger cake. The picture looks like a cake pan with a handle for better grabbing, which is what I’d like to see. I don’t mind using a hot pad but sometimes the baking dishes are not very grip-able, especially when hot.
J. Allen says
Love the gardening spoon and that cake cutter is to die for, lol.
