Who doesn’t love a good celebrity undercover spoof? Not only do they make for a great marketing ploy, they’re an entertaining way to bring in more views through social media. And it’s often the out-of-nowhere combination of celebrity and business that makes it so amusing — so when we heard Arnold Schwarzenegger had teamed up with electric car dealerships for just such a stunt, we were all over it…

In this hilarious video, Arnold goes undercover as a used car salesman to prank buyers interested in purchasing an electric vehicle. In classic Arnold style, he touts the benefits of driving a Hummer over an electric BMW — all while wearing the most ridiculous disguise imaginable. In fact, it’s a bit surprising that anyone was fooled by his obviously-glued-on-mustache and fake wig… but some customers sure seemed fooled by Arnold’s “Howard Kleiner” character!
Arnold has been going undercover at a number of Southern California businesses as of late, so if you love the undercover used car salesman video, there are plenty of other videos on his YouTube channel for you to check out. And, if you’re interested in a new (or used) electric car, Arnold provides a link to a non-profit electric vehicle website with plenty of useful information for those considering this eco-friendly alternative (you don’t need to be in SoCal for this).
